Airborne VR 1944 Remastered is now available on Viveport and Oculus Store, and fundraising for Among Heroes VR begins

With the release of the Remastered Airborne VR 1944 on Viveport and the Oculus Store, Virtual Light VR now shifts focus to pre-production and fundraising for new VR game franchise Among Heroes VR

Luleå / Stockholm, SWEDEN — October 31 2016 — The Remastered version of Virtual Light VR's critically acclaimed Airborne VR 1944 is now available on both Viveport and Oculus Store. Airborne VR 1944 (originally released for the Oculus Rift DK2 in December 2015) is a World War II experience in which the player is thrust into the role of an Allied soldier, part of a squad of paratroopers on a C-47 airplane headed for Nazi-occupied France on June 6th 1944 ("D-Day”).

During spring 2016 the new generation of VR headsets was finally made available to consumers. The success of the original Airborne VR 1944 and the collaborations that have sprung from this project led Virtual Light VR to decide to produce a complete remaster for both major VR headset brands — the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive.

The Remastered Airborne VR 1944 also works as an intro — a teaser of sorts — for Virtual Light VR’s upcoming episodic World War II game franchise Among Heroes VR — with the first installment set to be released in fall 2017. Experience World War II like never before in the fully playable full-body VR game Among Heroes VR.

Virtual Light VR is currently exploring avenues for funding Among Heroes VR.
